Account & data deletionAccount & data deletion
How to delete your account and associated data in md-log (operated by Deveart). You can delete your whole account, or delete individual documents while keeping your account.
Delete your account
You can close your account directly from the web app or the mobile app.
- Sign in to the web app (app.md-log.com) or the mobile app.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Choose “Delete account”, confirm your identity with your password (plus a 2FA code if two-factor is enabled), and complete the deletion.
If you cannot access the app, email support@md-log.com from the address you signed up with and request deletion. We process it after verifying your identity.
What is deleted / what is retained
Deleted or anonymized on account closure
- Account info — email, display name, password (anonymized and deleted)
- Your Markdown documents and all version history
- Handwritten annotations (ink strokes and annotation images)
- Personal access tokens (PATs), device and session data
Retained for a limited period as required by law
- Terms/privacy consent records — kept (in anonymized form) for the period required by applicable law
- Access and security logs — kept for the period set by applicable law and internal security policy, then destroyed
Personal information is anonymized immediately on closure; documents, annotations, and other content are fully erased by a scheduled deletion job (typically within 7 days). Because of the immutable-version design, full erasure can take some time.
Delete data without deleting your account
You can keep your account and delete individual documents or folders.
- Open the document or folder you want to delete in the app.
- Choose “Delete” from the more (⋮) menu.
- The deleted document and its versions/annotations are fully erased by the scheduled deletion job.
